This patent describes a process for dehydrogenating dehydrogenatable hydrocarbons comprising contacting the dehydrogenatable hydrocarbons at dehydrogenation conditions with a catalytic composite comprising a platinum component, a tin component, a potassium component, a lithium component, and an alumina support. The lithium to potassium atomic ratio of the catalytic composite is in the range of from 3:1 to 5:1.
