The state of the metal and catalytic properties of Fe-containing zeolites in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis were studied. It was found that the Fe/NaTsVM catalyst exhibits higher activity than Fe/NaA, due to the higher degree of reduction of Fe (85% Fe/NaTsVM, 25% Fe/NaA). The selectivity of action of Fe/NaA in the formation of C/sub 2/-C/sub 3/ olefins is higher than the selectivity of Fe/NaTsVM after 4-8 h of reduction in H/sub 2/. An increase in the duration of reduction (8-40 h) causes destruction of zeolite NaA, which results in a decrease in the selectivity of its action. A scheme for the formation of the metal phase was proposed. It was shown that transition of some Fe to the carbide form takes place during Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, and this process is more pronounced for Fe/NaTsVM.
