Ultrasonic density detector air-water flow test

An ultrasonic density detector has been developed for measurement of two-phase media densities in the Loss-of-Fluid Test facility reactor vessel. Prototype II detectors were tested for flow effects in the Semiscale air-water flow loop. Test procedure and results are outlined. Analysis of the data shows the expected flow effects in terms of flow regime.
