Journal Article · · Public Util. Fortn.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6176216
This article analyzes the cost-effective feasibility of implementing peak-load pricing for electricity. It compares the probable costs of such implementation to the probable benefits that will be derived from it. The assumptions and conditions under which an electric utility should find it economically sound to implement peak-load pricing are determined. The discussion develops the methodology that will enable a utility to determine whether it will save money by implementing peak-load pricing for specific users.
