The Class C Monitoring Program as performed under the Performance Evaluation of Passive/Hybrid Solar Heating and Cooling Systems Area Plan consists of a three-hour, on-site audit of passive solar homes to collect market and thermal data. This report focuses on highlights of the analysis of data gathered during the 200 home audits performed during 1980 and 1981 in the Northeast Region. Similarities among passive solar homes and the attitudes and perceptions of their occupants are examined from initial solar decision through the first heating season of occupancy. Selected performance data are also examined.
