A detailed geostatistical cross section, combined with a fine-grid streamtube calculation was used to predict the improvements of the North Vickers East waterflood project in Inglewood, CA. The intent was to test the hybrid finite-differences/streamtube technique (HST) to predict workover and realignment in a complex reservoir that was not easily modeled by conventional methods. Results indicate that HST may offer a methods to represent the performance of such reservoirs without conventional history matching.
