Title: If not conventional acidizing. use formation fracturing with success (in Spanish)

After trying out all known secondary recovery methods, Texaco proved hydraulic fracturing is the most effective well-stimulation technique to sustain and even increase production in Trinidad. The Company is doing the hydraulic fracturing usually after the well is completed, which results in increasing the production in the Navette Field from 5,000 bpd to 14,000 bpd. By hydraulic fracturing, the oil formation is parted and channels are formed. In order to maintain these channels open, Texaco uses coarse sand, and sometimes small glass beads or aluminum pellets. The fracturing fluid used is either brine or crude oil thickened with chemicals.
