Progress is reported on a balanced program of theoretical and experimental work was proposed for the investigation of the evolution of the pore size distribution and of the intraparticle diffusivity of the reacting calcined limestone particles with the progress of the reaction and of their effects on the sorptive capacity of limestone for SO2 removal. A more detailed statement of the objectives of the project is included in this report as Appendix A.
