Extension of supersymmetry in nuclear structure

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. Lett.; (United States)
Supersymmetry, recently proposed in the context of the interacting-boson model, is extended to include simultaneously odd-even, even-odd, and odd-odd partners of a given even-even nucleus. The quartet of nuclei /sup 196/Pt, /sup 197/Pt, /sup 197/Au, and /sup 198/Au is shown to be well described within this framework.
