The Soviet view of disarmament

This book describes the proposals on disarmament that have been officially tabled by the USSR since 1917, and analyzes them in the context of Marxist-Leninist doctrine and the international climate of the time. The author distinguishes between those proposals which are seriously intended and those put forth for propagandistic purposes, and traces the various domestic, military, and foreign policy requirements behind each. He then presents a detailed discussion of the Soviet view on verification and its implications for past, present and future negotiations.
