Measurement of the energy dependence of. delta. sigma/sub T/ and A/sub nn/ for pp scattering in the 1--3 GeV/C region

The polarized proton beam at the Argonne ZGS was used in conjunction with an N-type polarized proton target to extend previous measurements of ..delta..sigma/sub T/ /sup 1,2/ in the region of incident momentum 1--3 GeV/c. In addition, a double arm spectrometer was used to measure the spin-spin asymmetry parameter, A/sub nn/, for pp elastic scattering over complete angular distributions in this range of incident momentum. Preliminary results of these measurements are presented.
