Computation of Bessel functions of complex argument
The mathematical basis for a computer subroutine package of Bessel functions including H/sub nu/sup (1)/(z), H/sub nu/sup (2)/(z), I/sub nu/(z), J/sub nu/(z), K/sub nu/(z) and Y/sub nu/(z) for nonnegative orders nu greater than or equal to O and complex argument z in the cut plane - ..pi.. < arg z less than or equal to ..pi.. is described. Results of parameter studies needed to terminate infinite processes with accuracies from 3 to 18 digits are shown. The Airy functions, spherical Bessel functions, and Kelvin functions of a complex argument are by-products of this development.
