Constraints on muonium-antimuonium conversion

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. Lett.; (United States)
We discuss a simple model in which muonium-antimuonium conversion can occur at a level around the recent experimental bound but the process ..mu../r arrow//ital e/..gamma.. is strictly forbidden. Measurements of the anomalous muon magnetic moment and high-energy Bhabha scattering /ital e//sup +/e/sup /minus///r arrow/e/sup +/e/sup /minus// together provide an indirect and interesting constraint on the conversion. The model predicts anomalous events /ital ep//r arrow//ital e/bar //..mu mu../ital X/ at high-energy /ital ep/ colliders.
