Gas chromatographic determination method for carbon monoxide and methane (in Dutch)

The purpose of this research is to develop a sensitive and good reproducible determination method for carbon monoxide. A sample of air is directed over a distillation column of molecular sieve, and then directed over a nickel catalyzer. On this nickel catalyzer, CO is transferred into methane in a hydrogen environment. By means of a flame ionization detector, the concentrations of methane and the into methane transferred carbon dioxide are determined.
