Vector analyzing power iT/sub 11/ in the. pi. d. -->. 2p reaction between 112 and 325 MeV

The vector analyzing power iT/sub 11/ has been measured for the ..pi..d..-->..2p reaction at seven incident pion energies between 112 and 325 MeV, using a vector polarized deuteron target. The results cover an average of 12 angles per incident pion energy. A comparison with existing theoretical calculations is made. The value of these data with respect to ongoing phase shift analyses of the pp..--> pi..d reaction is discussed.
