Potential detrimental effects of cogeneration development on utility costs: a preliminary assessment
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:6119522
Of the 13 utilities studied, ten purchased electricity from cogenerators and small power generators. Results of the study indicate that the greatest problem is related to the long-term firm contract price, and that the utilities and their customers should be indifferent in the long run to the amount of cogenerated electricity purchased.
