Title: Energy Conversion and Storage Program: Applied Science Division annual report, FY 1988

Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/6112636· OSTI ID:6112636

The Energy Conversion and Storage Program applies chemistry and chemical engineering principles to solve problems in (a) the production of new synthetic fuels, (b) the development of high- performance rechargeable batteries and fuel cells, (c) the development of advanced thermochemical processes for energy storage, (d) the characterization of complex chemical processes, and (e) the application of novel materials for energy conversion and transmission. Projects focus on transport-process principles, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, separation processes, organic and physical chemistry, and advanced analysis methods.
