Charge-vortex binding, fractional quantum-Hall effect and anyon superconductivity

In this paper, the author reviews the concept of statistics transmutation in two dimensions and applies it to the understanding of Fractional quantum-Hall effect and anyon superconductivity. The relevance of the anyon model to copper-oxide superconductors is also discussed.
