A microprocessor-based data acquisition instrument (DAI) has been designed and developed to collect and to process analog data for chemical and nuclear experiments at the Savannah River Laboratory (SRL). The DAI operates on the IEEE-488 general purpose instrument bus (GPIB), which makes it a versatile intelligent peripheral for Commodore PET (Commodore Business Machines, Inc., Santa Clara, CA 95050) microcomputers and other GPIB controllers used in data acquisition and control systems.
