Experimental proof of a Vertical Bar. delta. mVertical Bar<

We report the first measurement of a fully state selected (v/sub i/,j/sub i/,Vertical Barm/sub i/Vertical Bar)..-->..(v/sub f/, j /sub f/,Vertical Barm/sub f/Vertical Bar) differential cross section in atom-molecule collisions. We have studied Na/sub 2/-Ne, (0,6,Vertical Barm/sub i/Vertical Bar)..-->..(0,0,0) rotationally inelastic scattering at a collision energy of 190 meV. The data verify a pronounced Vertical Bar..delta..mVertical Bar<0 gives an upper limit of 10%.
