The traveler presented a progress report to Mr. T. Mukaiyama of the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI), Tokai Establishment, on work carried out at ORNL under the Japan/US Actinides Program. He developed a preliminary work plan for Japanese approval and funding during the ensuing Japanese fiscal year. He attended a workshop at Dubna, USSR, and visited the Institute of Physics at Obninsk, USSR.
