Interaction of 300- and 390-MeV /sup 40/Ar ions with /sup 232/Th nuclei was studied by measuring coincidences of light nucleon-transfer-reaction products (Z = 6--20) with fission fragments from heavy products (Z = 102--88). The obtained angular distributions of fission fragments in the reaction plane are anisotropic. The nuclear fission probabilities are estimated in the excitation-energy range from 10 to 100 MeV. The ternary fission effect with emission of carbon nuclei at 90/sup 0/ to the c.m. axis of separation of the fragments is obtained.
