It is suggested that the noise rise in Josephson parametric amplifiers can be interpreted as being the result of the zero-point fluctuation arising from the uncertainty principle. The fluctuation of the phase is calculated and related to the bandwidth of the plasmons of the superconducting pair. Thus an explanation is given not only of the origin of the noise, but also of the main experimental characteristics of the noise phenomena.
