SEP studies of acetylene X-tilde /sup 1/..sigma../sub g//sup +/ have progressed in several directions: vinylidene-acetylene isomerization, SEP spectroscopy of HCCD, and on a new limit for the C-H bond energy in acetylene. The first of these has been the most extensively studied.
