Scientists and researchers who are involved in the collection and analysis of airborne particles will find this book to be a reasonably good review of the subject. In my opinion, the book is intended as an overview of the various analytical methods available for the collection and analysis of particles rather than as a comprehensive study. Because of the broad range of information presented, the various topics in the book are covered superficially; more detailed information must be obtained by the reader from the references. As such, the references for the most part are adequate and current. The writing style is appropriate for a general review text, with the information clearly presented and easily understood by readers having a rudimentary knowledge of the subject.
