Kinetics and mechanism of dehydrogenation of 1-tetralone on an alumina-nickel catalyst

The first-order reaction of the dehydrogenation of 1-teralone on alumina-nickel catalysts was ascertained. A reaction mechanism was proposed which takes into account the need for formation of the enol form of 1-tetralone as an intermediate product.
