Mew far infrared laser lines obtained by optically pumping C-13/D3/OD

Laser action has been obtained on 34 far infrared lines for the first time in fully deuterated methyl alcohol with the C-13 isotope (C-13/D3/OD) and the frequency of 13 lines is measured. The molecule was pumped by a CW CO/sub 2/ laser. Measurements of the wavelength, the relative polarization, the relative intensity of most lines; the frequency, and the CO/sub 2/ pump frequency offset of the strongest lines are presented. The new lines are distributed in the wavelength region from 75.27 microns to 464.7 microns. 7 references.
