Analysis of the electromagnetic performance characteristics of stripline transformers

The electromagnetic parameters (self-inductances, coupling factor, and resistance) of circular stripline transformers are calculated using the canonical problem of a current loop. A 10-to-1-turn transformer is analyzed ad the results are compared to measurements. A 1-to-1 transformer is also considered, and the effect of geometry on the parameters is determined.
