Multiple injection packers
The object of this device is to provide a means for injecting fluids into a formation along a desired length, in which the same amount of fluid will be injected along the length of the formation even though the breakdown pressures vary. The tool can be adjusted to inject the same amount of fluid into each interval of the formation being treated, or to deliver a different but known amount of fluid to each or any section of the treated interval. Packings mounted on a body structure seal against the well casing to form separated zones in the casing isolated from each other. The zones communicate with the surrounding formation through casing perforations located between the packings. The body structure has a fluid passage and a separate flow path leading from it to each zone. A flow regulator in each path separately controls the rate of flow to its associated zone. (23 claims)
