US energy production during the first two months of 1978 totaled 8.7 quadrillion Btus. Domestic energy production during this period averaged 243 trillion Btus per day. Utility electricity output during February 1978 was 6.5% greater than that for February 1977. Data on fossil fuel imports, world crude production and consumption, oil and gas developments, and strategic petroleum reserves are given. Specifically, data on crude oil and refined petroleum products, natural gas, coal, electric utilities, and nuclear power are tabulated.
