Oil price effects and OPEC's pricing policy

Dr. Marquez looks at the international transmission of oil price effects and the setting of the prices as a single problem. He creates a three-region world model of developed economies, OPEC, and non-OPEC developing economies to study the transmission of price effects and the derivation of optimal oil prices. He also analyzes the impacts of restrictive fiscal policy in developed countries and increased financial transfers to less developed countries on real income, on the internal oil market, on inflation, and on international trade of manufactured goods and raw materials.
