Cesium migration in LMFBR fuel pins

The factors affecting the axial migration of cesium in mixed oxide fuel pins and the effects of cesium migration on fuel pin performance are examined. The development and application of a correlated model which will predict the occurrence of cesium migration in a mixed oxide (75 w/o UO/sub 2/ + 25 w/o PuO/sub 2/) fuel pins over a wide range of fabrication and irradiation conditions are described.
