Pipe rehabilitation using epoxy resin composition

This patent describes a method for lining the interior of a pipe. It comprises: impregnating an adsorbent substrate with a composition comprising an epoxy resin having an average of more than one vicinal epoxide group per molecule and from about 0.5 to about 15 weight percent, based on the weight of the epoxy resin, of a non-1-substituted imidazole, placing the thus impregnated substrate within the pipe to be lined and in contact with an interior surface thereof, and curing the epoxy resin, thereby causing the impregnated substrate to harden and form an essentially cylindrical interior liner for the pipe.
