Cross sections for interaction of tritium nuclei with protons and elastic /sup 3/ H/ital p/ scattering at momentum 5 GeV//ital c/

The ITEP 80-cm-diameter liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber exposed in a beam of /sup 3/ H nuclei with momentum 5 GeV//ital c/ (primary-proton kinetic energy in the rest system of the nucleus /ital T//sub /ital p//=0.978 GeV) has been used to determine the total cross section, topological cross sections, and cross sections of individual channels of the /sup 3/ H/ital p/ interaction and also the differential cross section /ital d/sigma//ital dt/ for elastic /sup 3/ H/ital p/ scattering. The experimental data are compared with the predictions of the Glauber-Sitenko theory of multiple scattering.
