Relativistic orotrons from which the radiation is coupled out by diffraction were tested in the 8-mm and 5-mm wavelength regions. The relativistic particles were injected by the Sinus-6 accelerator operated in single and repeated pulses, with the electron energy varied over the range of 400-650 keV and the current of the hollow beam varied between 0.5 and 7 kA at a pulse length of 25 ns. In the single-mode operation hot-carrier detector and a calorimeter detected a power of 50 MW at the wavelength of 5.5 + or - 0.1 mm and a power of 120 MW at 8.0 + or - 0.2 mm at an efficiency of about 5 percent. In the 8-mm orotron emission at the wavelength of 4.3 + or 0.2 mm was observed, with a power of 5 MW. 7 references.
