Vector glueball: An algebraic approach

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. D; (United States)

The J/sup P//sup C/ = 1/sup --/ vector glueball is considered in addition to the usual SU/sub F/(4) multiplet consisting of rho, K/sup */, ..omega.., phi, D/sup */, F/sup */, and J/psi using an algebraic approach consistent with QCD. We calculate the glueball mass to be approx. =1.75 GeV and its width to be approx. >3 MeV. It mixes substantially with J/psi. The vector glueball decays copiously into rho..pi.. and K/sup */K-bar when compared to its decay into KK-bar. The ..delta..I = 1 isovector radiative decays of the vector mesons are predicted. In addition GAMMA(K/sup *//sup 0/..-->..K/sup 0/+..gamma..) is predicted to be 138 keV. We neglect intermultiplet mixing.
