Annual Report to Congress, 1980: Volume 3, Forecasts

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6053401
Projections are presented of energy production, consumption, and prices. An analysis of the world oil market provides a basis for three separate assumptions about how the price of internationally traded oil may evolve. Based on the three oil price assumptions, projections are provided for both world and domestic energy markets. Estimates of world energy production and consumption are presented for 1985, 1990, and 1995. Separate domestic projections are given for two time frames: the midterm (1985, 1990, and 1995) and the long term (2000, 2010, and 2020). The sensitivity of the projections to key assumptions is also investigated.
