A fuel saving device is described comprising a housing adapted to be interposed between a carburetor and an intake manifold of an internal combustion engine. A chamber is formed within the housing, the chamber having an inlet end opening adapted to register with a discharge passage of the carburetor and receive fuel-air mixture formed in the carburetor, and an outlet end opening adapted to connect to the intake manifold. A micro-porous filter is mounted within the chamber extending transversely to the path of flow of the fuel-air mixture between the inlet and outlet end openings, the filter means being formed at least in part by a micro-porous filter plate adapted to permit the flow therethrough of the fuel-air mixture received from the carburetor.
