The Albion and Albion North Oil Fields are located on an anticlinal nose that is apparently the S. end of the Voshell anticline. Among major oil fields developed on the Voshell anticline are the Voshell, Hollow-Nikkel, and Burrton. The Albion North Field is developed on a small anticline which has probably 20 ft of closure on the Viola limestone. There apparently is no closure on the Hertha limestone in this field. The seismic study reportedly indicated an E.-W. saddle on the crest of the anticline. All oil production to date in the Albion North Field is from Viola or Viola-Simpson rocks. The Albion Field does not seem to have any closure. Present well information indicates that it is on a terrace or shelf on the nose of the anticline. Production of oil in the Hertha limestone and Mississippian chert wells in this field is apparently related to changes in porosity in the producing zones.
