Title: Magnetic moments of the ground states of /sup 127/Te,/sup 129/Te, and /sup 131/Te

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev., C; (United States)

Nuclear magnetic resonance experiments with oriented nuclei have been performed on /sup 127/Te, /sup 129/Te, and /sup 131/Te implanted in iron, using the A/sub 1/ asymmetry from ..beta.. decay as resonance indication. From the resonance frequencies the following moments have been extracted: abs. value (..mu..) abs. value = 0.635(4) for /sup 127/Te, abs. value (..mu..) abs. value = 0.702(4) for /sup 129/Te, and abs. value (..mu..) abs. value = 0.696(9) for /sup 131/Te, in units of ..mu../sub N/. These are compared to theoretical calculations in the pairing-plus-quadrupole model, using experimental occupation coefficients.
