The /sup 3/He(p,pp)/sup 2/H and /sup 3/He(p,pp)/sup 2/H* reactions were investigated in a kinematically complete experiment at E/sub p/ = 136 MeV for three angle pairs. The cross sections as a function of relative n-p energy were analyzed and compared to plane-wave impulse approximation predictions using one-boson exchange and Reid soft-core potentials to obtain detailed information about the /sup 3/He wave function. No clear preference was established for one potential over the other, but limits were established on the mixed symmetry component of the /sup 3/He wave function.
