Journal Article · · API Prod. Div. Southwestern Dist. Spring Mtg., Odessa, TX; (United States)
OSTI ID:6043535

This discussion of gases in the Delaware and Val Verde Basins includes the topics of regional geology, carbon dioxide, methane, ethane, propane, and nitrogen distributions, and natural gas pipelines and plants. The Delaware-Val Verde basins are a continuous elongate NW.-SE. trending downward extending from Eddy County in SE. New Mexico to Edwards and Kinney Counties, Tex. Deep production consists mostly of petroleum condensate and gas containing substantial amounts of carbon dioxide, and is confined to the Ellenburger group of the Ordovician and the Siluro-Devonian rocks.
