MRC/Mound WR Flow Test System

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6042460
This Test System has been in operation, in its present form, since December of 1975. The present capabilities of the System are the measurement of Helium-4, leak rates through various controlled leaks in WR components. These determinations are made by either a P..delta..V or Mass Spectroscopic Comparison Method, and can cover the range of leaks from 10/sup -3/ to 10/sup -7/ STD cc/sec at 80/sup 0/F. Any time WR Testing is to be done, an Error Analysis of the System is performed. This analysis includes estimates of the Total Systematic Error and a Precision Study of the data. The data gathered by the Test System can be used in degradation studies of the various controlled leaks and to obtain an indication of the reliability of various WR components.
