Design of the antiproton source for the Fermilab Tevatron is presented Antiprotons are produced when 120 GeV protons are extracted from the main ring and directed onto a tungsten target in the /bar p/ target station. The beam optics required to obtain a luminosity of 10/sup 30/ cm/sup /minus/2/ sec/sup /minus/1/ with 6/times/10/sup 10/ antiprotons per bunch or 2/times/10/sup 11/ /bar p/'s every 12 hours are described.
