Gauge-invariant forms of the nonrelativistic Compton amplitude

Various forms of the long-wavelength, nonrelativistic nuclear Compton amplitude are discussed. Simple manipulations allow the usual low-energy theorem for the amplitude to be cast into a manifestly gauge-invariant form, which facilitates interpretation.
