A solution of Einstein's equations for a stationary cylindrically symmetricperfect fluid is presented. The extent of the fluid is radially infinite but theproper density ..mu.. and pressure /ital p/ are physically well behaved everywhere. Onthe axis ..mu.. and /ital p/ are finite and positive. As the radial coordinate /rho/increases ..mu.. and /ital p/ decrease monotonically to zero at infinity. The ratio/ital p//..mu..(/lt/1) also steadily decreases. It is shown that the regularity conditionat the axis is satisfied. The solution is algebraically general of Petrov typeI.
