Proceedings of conference on water requirements for lower Colorado River Basin energy needs

The conference was designed to provide the latest technical data on the management of water and energy needed to produce new energy sources in the lower Colorado River Basin and relate this to the cost of maintaining the present environment. Of particular interest at the conference was the realization that it takes energy, as well as water, to extract energy. Therefore, the papers delivered assessing new energy technology - oil shale, coal gasification, geothermal, and solar - accounted for both requirements.
