This workbook contains problems for the Air Pollution Training Institute's Course 413, 'Control of Particulate Emissions'. The problems cover calculation of collection efficiencies, pressure drop values, and particle size distributions for such emission control devices as settling chambers, cyclones, electrostatic precipitators, baghouses, and wet collectors. The workbook, when used with the Student Manual, EPA 450/2-80-066, during the lecture sessions, is part of comprehensive training in particulate control. The course also has an Instructor's Guide, PB80-208895, which should be used in conducting the course.
