Investigation of Neural Network Paradigms for the Development of Automatic Noise Diagnostic/Reactor Surveillance Systems

Results are presented from investigations into the use of neural networks for the recognition and analysis of neutron noise data. A Spectral Feature Detector network based on the backpropagation paradigm is described, and its potential for use in the development of automatic noise diagnostic systems is discussed.
