The non-equilibrated dynamics of clustered [ital q[bar q]]-pairs in the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) near the hadronic gas (HG) state can introduce an asymmetry among the abundances of final-state pions such that [radical][l angle][pi][sup +][r angle][l angle][pi][sup [minus]][r angle] [ne] [l angle][pi][sup 0][r angle].
